2020, Still in Denial

January 2, 2020

It’s two days in to the new year, new decade and I can’t believe that we have made it around the sun again. Did I blink? Miss something? I know I have said it before but why do the days, weeks, years go by so quickly. I’m still in denial that it is the year 2020! So, Happy New Year!

Guess what’s next…

So in a week, we’ll be in Disney! It’s almost time for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend!! Oh. My. Goodness! I’m excited and nervous all at once. Due to my hip injury, my longest run has been 15 miles. Oh boy!

I’m so glad that I went with my gut and didn’t sign up for more than the marathon. Just as I was about to click the button for the Dopey Challenge, my brain said, “that’s four mornings of getting up at 2:30 am”. Thankfully, I went with the marathon only option for the weekend. While I love a good challenge, I don’t think my body could have handled it at this juncture.

A couple of things I forgot!

Two days after Christmas, Twinkletoes had all four of her wisdom teeth removed. She handled it like a champ! We were so proud of her. She’s almost back to eating all of her favorite foods. Thankfully, she’s had no issues. Her biggest thing was she wanted to wear her retainers. God love her!

The other thing that happened before the new year was that I became a distributor for SeneGence! It was something that I had been thinking about for a little while and decided to take the plunge. I had been using the LipSense for years and joined a friend’s Facebook party. There was a winter skin care challenge, so I joined that too. It changed my world! If you’d like to know more, just let me know! I’d love to share with you!

And now…

We took our Christmas decorations down today. It always makes me sad for the first couple of days. The living room looks so plain and boring. This is the first house that we’ve ever had a banister. It was beautiful with the garland going up!

What is your favorite Christmas decoration at your house? Do you miss it when you take it down or is it a sign of relief to have the house back in order? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Until next time, keep on truckin’!
